Dear Mr Tharman,

Thank you for the kind assistance your team and you provided for me during my recent bicycle accident along Boon Lay Way where I was hospitalised in NUH and later moved to West Point Hospital for recuperation. My gratitude goes to Mr Zaman too of Zone D RC who has called the CCC when he met me at the West Point Hospital where he was also warded. CCC has also contacted the insurers of the contractors at Boon Lay Way who help with my accident claims. Thank you. I am finally out of the wheel-chair/walking frame and able to move on my own after months of physiotherapy which is still on-going. The food delivered then by Loving Heart Multi-Service Centre (arranged by Darren) was 'god-send' as I have no one to help me at home to either buy food or cook and I was unable to move on my own.

Thank you. I am very touched and gratified by all of you who has extended a helping hand when I needed it most. I'm fortunate to have you as an active MP serving in my area and not one who can be seen only on special functions or during GE.

On 12 September 2011, I complained about leaves and tree branches thrown from top floor at Blk 259 Bt Batok East Ave 4. I would like to say Thank You to Mr Tham Yew Thong for the action taken. Till now all the above said activities had stopped. Please give a pat on the back of all your staff who involved solving my problem.

Thumbs up to Jurong Town Council

In the past, whenever something was faulty in my estate, the former town council took forever to solve the issue. At the recent General Election, we were "moved" to the Jurong Group Representation Constituency, and we got a new town council. After the GE, I tested the system, I went around my estate, listing some faults that the last town council did not resolve. To my surprise, the new town council replied, and the faults were rectified within a week. I am impressed and wish to give my compliments and thumbs-up to the Jurong Town Council.

Dear Sir DPM Tharman,

Thank you very much for your kind help to solve my personal(Family) issue. Since my wife and me are new settlers and both are busy long hour working personals so that family support during first child born is very crucial for us. I really appreciate the kind help from DPM Therman, Mr Lim EC and Mr.Kok Wah. I could say that this kind of help and assistance from GRC MP(especially from DPM level)and consultant team can not be got easily in Myanmar, my ex-country. I am really proud to be a Singaporean under current government leader such as DPM Therman. My family and me will contribute our best to Singapore. I will proudly explain to my son about gratitude and how Singapore and her sharp, efficient grass root leaders take care of ordinary new comer citizen's family. Whichever way the outcome of this reprieve turns out,I will tell Rao my staff that we have a caring system in place for FDWs in Singapore. Nowhere on the globe you will get a Minister to respond in the way you did. For this I am truly grateful and will accept the result of this appeal.

Dear Mr Tharman & Team,

First and foremost, CONGRATULATIONS on your impressive win in GE2011. My family and I have just shifted to Taman Jurong about 6 mths ago after staying in Boon Lay Drive for 6 years. The decision to shift was to be nearer to my children's school (PCF Little Wings - Blk 161) & also because the kids main caregiver who happened to be my sister also stays in the same area (Blk 156 Yung Loh Rd). Shifting house is never an easy task but looking for a flat in Taman Jurong is even harder and I, for instance, almost gave up hope. It was a case of demand is higher than stock but finally we managed to close a deal. Even sweeter, we managed to get a flat 2 blocks away from my sister and the kids school is less than 5 mins away from our block.

My family & I are now happy residents of Taman Jurong (Blk 158 Yung Loh Rd) & in fact we had been very comfortably hanging out in this area even when we were staying in Boon Lay. Adding on to this, I am 35 years old & had never voted before. Prior to being a new Jurong GRC resident, I was from Tanjong Pagar GRC & also West Coast GRC. There was never a chance for me to vote ever since I turned 21 but GE2011 made a big difference.

Taman Jurong has improved tremendously thanks to you & your dedicated team & I think my maiden vote went to the worthy party.

I so much want to vote for you and Mrs Halimah, even pledging it to my family.

Utterly disappointed when I found out that I have to go back to vote in Choa Chu Kang. We moved out last year but I changed my address later than my husband. Now, under the same roof, he goes to Jurong while I have to go back to CCK.

Why is voter's address caa 1/1/11 and not dates closing to nomination date? What happen to voters like me?

Last night when I watch Mediacorp Channel 5 while you were answering question and debating with the 4 opposition candidate I'm amazed by your answers to all of them. Mr. Nazem Suki is someone I know personally. His remarks on national TV turned me off as a citizen. You have answered all their question with passion and integrity. The recent budget that you announced is for all Singaporean regardless of status. This is the best I've seen here. I wish to express our gratitude to both of you for activating the prompt corrective actions taken by NEA to paint the slopes on the floor of Taman Jurong Marker and Hawker Centre. This safety measures help to minimise unnecessary risk of fall by elderly residents and pregnant women when they walk across the slopes.
