Upgrading of traffic light junction near Lakeside MRT station

Starting September 10, 2011 - Ending April 10, 2012

Good news for our residents! In response to residents' feedback conveyed by our MPs, LTA has agreed to upgrade the traffic light junction near Lakeside MRT station, and recently, LTA has informed that it will be bringing forward the implementation schedule from 2nd Qtr to 1st Qtr of 2012.

LTA will upgrade the entire junction,removing the small pedestrian island ultimately, so that pedestrians will be doing a single-stage crossing instead of a double stage crossing. To be carried out in conjunction with the widening of Boon Lay Way, this project also includes raising the current road level as part of islandwide flood prevention measures.
