Nomination for Best Cleaner Award

Jurong Town Council Residents’ Choice! Best Cleaner Awards 2012

The Best Cleaner Awards organized by Jurong Town Council is an annual campaign to provide recognition and incentives to our cleaners for their hard work rendered over the past one year in keeping the housing estates clean. A total of 50 cleaners will be selected from the nominations submitted by the residents of Jurong GRC and Yuhua SMC. We encourage you to help us nominate the cleaner who cleans your estate, if you think the cleaner deserve the title!

Interim Help for Residents

The Interim COping Package for Economic Downturn (I COPE) is a one-year pilot programme that was launched in January 2009 by South West Community Development Council (SWCDC)to provide interim financial assistance to those retrenched and unemployed residents in an economic downturn. We are pleased to inform residents that the successful programme has been extended.

Baby Bliss Card

Community Alert Service (CAS) By Jurong Police Division

Jurong Police Division is providing a free Community Alert Service to residents in Jurong Police Division jurisdiction. Upon subscription, the subscriber would be able to receive advisory/newsletter relating to crimes, safety and security issues concerning their neighbourhood and community.

Bicycle Security Label

The National Crime Prevention Council (NCPC), in a joint project with the Singapore Police Force (SPF), launched the Bicycle Security Label last year. Bearing the SPF and NCPC logo, the label contains a unique set of identity numbers, is temper proof and has security features, similar to high security items like passports, that make it virtually impossible to replicate. The unique serial number helps bicycle owners and Police to identify their bicycle if it is stolen.

Upgrading of traffic light junction near Lakeside MRT station

Starting September 10, 2011 - Ending April 10, 2012 Expired

Good news for our residents! In response to residents' feedback conveyed by our MPs, LTA has agreed to upgrade the traffic light junction near Lakeside MRT station, and recently, LTA has informed that it will be bringing forward the implementation schedule from 2nd Qtr to 1st Qtr of 2012.

LTA will upgrade the entire junction,removing the small pedestrian island ultimately, so that pedestrians will be doing a single-stage crossing instead of a double stage crossing. To be carried out in conjunction with the widening of Boon Lay Way, this project also includes raising the current road level as part of islandwide flood prevention measures.
