Yao Quan is Head of Healthcare Redesign at Alexandra Hospital. His work is focused on meeting the healthcare needs of Singaporeans as our population gets older. He has also been leading the hospital’s COVID-19 operations in a major Community Care Facility and other areas.
Before moving into public healthcare, Yao Quan spent five years in the private sector with an investment company. He earlier spent six years in the SAF.

Yao Quan has been a very active community volunteer since 2015. He introduced several initiatives to support lower-income families in Jurong. He is also a Board member of SG Enable and co-leads a taskforce to promote products made or designed by persons with disabilities. He also serves on the Merdeka Generation Communications and Engagement Taskforce.
Yao Quan graduated from Duke University with a Bachelors degree in Biomedical Engineering and a Masters degree in Engineering Management. He is happily married.
